If your home doesn't have the first impression good looks, many buyers will overlook it before they get through the front door. Do some landscaping and add some welcoming touches such as potted plants to the front walkway, or a simple wreath on the front door. Do you and your partner want to buy a home? You don't have to be married to buy a home together, but there are some things to consider before you make such a large purchase together.
Whether your partner and you have joint accounts or not, it's important to talk financials Be clear about your debt, savings, and your expectations going into this home. Will it be 50/50? Will you both be on the loan?
What about the down payment? Can you afford to put 20% down? Most cannot, but that doesn't mean you can't buy a home together.
While married couples are generally assessed by creditors as one, unmarried couples are assessed as individuals, even if you apply together. Therefore, both need to have good credit to secure good rates, or if only one person is on the loan, then only one income is on record as well. This determines the amount you qualify for.

What does the Fair Housing Act Mean?
The short answer is that the Fair Housing Act protects tenants from housing discrimination. This is a federal law, applied across the United States.
This essentially means you cannot discriminate renting your home based on age, gender, race, religion, familial status, national origin, or sexual preference.
Additionally, the equal credit opportunity acts state that a credit application may not be discriminated against because of the above as well as if the applicant's income derives from any public assistance program.
That being said, it's not discrimination if the applicant does not meet the credit score or income requirements. Everyone is allowed to apply, but may not be approved based on financial requirements.

It's almost that time of year to celebrate our independence. In 2019, on our 243rd American Independence anniversary, here's where you can celebrate in Lake County, Florida.
This year the City of Clermont will have a Patriotic Pet Parade. The parade will start on the waterfront walking trail at 6:30 pm on July 4th. Additional entertainment and food will also be at the waterfront park starting at 6 pm, along with the Ultimate Journey Tribute Show playing int eh pavilion. Fireworks start at 9:15 pm.
Lake Catherine Blueberries in Groveland will have a dueling firework show, video game truck, water tag, food trucks, music stages and more. Lake Catherine is located on 5849 Lake Catherine Road. The event is free and begins at 4 pm.
Mou Dora will celebrate with Freedom on the Waterfront, which will take place this year on July 3rd, from 5 pm on. The annual parade will take place on the 4th at 10 am.

It may be easier to sell a home when you don't live in it. But if you live far enough that you can't get to it often, it can be challenging to sell your home. Follow these steps to sell your home when you don't live nearby.
Make sure you have a Realtor
